Gooey caramel, almonds, and chocolate. We call them Goober Cookies. If you can keep them, they taste fantastic the next day.

– 1 cup all-purpose flour – ½ teaspoon baking soda – 1 cup quick cooking oat – ¾ cup packed brown sugar – ¾ cup melted butter – ¼ teaspoon salt – 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chip – ½ cup chopped walnut – ¾ cup caramel ice cream topping – 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan.

Add 1 cup flour, baking soda, oats, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly. Half the mixture into the pan's bottom.

The temperature should be set to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and the baking time should be ten minutes.

Once cooled, top the crust with chocolate chips and nuts. Coat chocolate chips with caramel ice cream and 3 tablespoons flour. Add remaining oatmeal. Break it to cover.

Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Before cutting, let the bars cool.
