A simple Cinnamon Apple Crisp recipe with oats that are rolled in brown sugar and sliced apples. This easy dessert is great any time of the year.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE TOPPING:– ½ cup (65 grams) all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled– ¾ cup (150 grams) light brown sugar packed– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon– ¼ teaspoon salt– ½ cup (115 grams) cold unsalted butter, cubed into small piece– 1 cup (100 grams) old-fashioned rolled oatFOR THE FILLING:– 5 cups (600 grams) sliced apple– 1/4 cup (50 grams) granulated sugar– 2 tablespoons (15 grams) all-purpose flour– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
INSTRUCTIONS
Warm the oven up to 177°F (350°C). Coat a 9-inch pie plate or an 8- or 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray that doesn't stick.

Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the cold cubed butter into the dry ingredients until it comes together and is crumbly. Stir in the oats and refrigerate while making the filling.

In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated. Put the apples in the baking dish. Sprinkle the topping over the filling after removing it from the fridge.

Bake for 40–50 minutes at 350°F (177°C) until the topping is lightly golden brown and the juices are bubbling around the edges. Cool on a wire rack after removing from the oven before serving.
