‘Am I Smart?’

LET'S START

We all had that one friend in school who always got perfect scores. If the person was smart, they were almost certainly also intelligent.

The terms "smart" and "intelligent" are sometimes used interchangeably, yet they refer to different qualities.

Humans aren't born with innate intelligence, hence it takes effort to become intelligent.Rosemarie Manfredi, PsyD., a neuropsychologist in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, is an outlier among psychologists

Contacting one of these psychologists and requesting an intelligence test is, according to Dr. Manfredi, the greatest approach to find out whether you are smart.

That is to say, it is not the role of a teacher or a doctor to evaluate a student's intelligence.

There are many distinct kinds of intelligence tests, commonly referred to as IQ tests. "Intelligence tests typically measure verbal and nonverbal reasoning and problem-solving skills.

"While most people's scores are relatively even across each of these domains, some individuals show a lot of unevenness in their profiles,".

To paraphrase the authors, "in these cases, a single IQ score may not adequately describe the individual's actual level of functioning."
