Apple-Cinnamon Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe

Ingredient

– 2 cups all-purpose flour – 3 tablespoons sugar – 1½ teaspoons baking powder – 1½ teaspoons baking soda – 1¼ teaspoons kosher salt – 6 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons unsalted butter, divided – 2 large egg – 2½ cups buttermilk – 3 Granny Smith apple – 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon – 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt.Melt 3 tablespoons butter.Beat eggs and buttermilk thoroughly.

Fully combine the butter and egg mixture into the flour, but leave lumps.Let batter rest 15–60 minutes.Peel and slice apples thinly.

Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.Stir cinnamon into butter for 30 seconds.

Cook the sliced apples and brown sugar for 5 minutes in the pan. Stop cooking.Warm a frying pan on medium without smoking.

Use ¼ cup of batter each pancake, allowing 3-4 inches between each one.Cook the pancakes until huge bubbles appear and the edges are set.

Brown the pancakes for 2 minutes on the opposite side.Repeat with the remaining batter, adding butter only for the first 2–3 batches.

You can keep the pancakes warm in a 250 F oven.Put the apples on top of the pancakes.
