Apple Streusel French Toast Casserole Recipe 

Apples always lacking Focus is on French toast. Son, wife, and I devour the 11x7 pan. Fast, tasty, easy. Optional: powdered sugar with maple syrup.

– cooking spray – 4 eggs, beaten – ½ cup half-and-half – ½ cup milk – 1 tablespoon white sugar – 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 1 (8 ounce) loaf French bread, cut into small cube – ¼ cup butter – 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into small dice – ¼ cup brown sugar – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Set oven temperature to 350 F (175 C). Spray cooking spray in a 7 x 11-inch baking dish.

Beat eggs, half-and-half, milk, white sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix in bread cubes. Soak bread 10 minutes to moisten.

Melt butter in a pan on medium. Heat cinnamon, apples, and brown sugar in melted butter to moisten sugar for 5–7 minutes until apples are warm yet firm.

Combine the apple mixture with the bread mixture, and then pour the mixture into the baking dish that has been prepared.

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the top is brown and the center is still slightly soft.
