There is juicy, tender, savory beef and crisp, crunchy broccoli in this Chinese Beef And Broccoli Stir Fry. It is all mixed together in a rich and flavorful homemade sauce. Since I moved to Sydney, I've grown to love Asian stir-fries even more.

– Main Ingredient– 1 Pound Beef Steak (1 pound = 400 g)– 2 Cups Broccoli Floret– Stir Fry Sauce– 4 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce– 4 Tablespoons Water– 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce– 1 Tablespoon Chinese Cooking Wine– 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil– For The Stir Fry– 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil– 2 Tablespoons Ginger– 2 Tablespoons Garlic– 2 Whole Dried Red Chillie– 1 cup Stock– 1/2 teaspoon White Pepper Powder– Salt

Make sauce for stir-fry
Pour oyster sauce, soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, and sesame oil into a small bowl.

Mix them together. corn flour and water. Mix well. Mix cornflour and water to make a cornflower slurry.

Prepare Beef Thinly slice beef (1/8 inch). Anti-grain cut. See sketch.
Marinate sliced beef in 2 tablespoons stir-fry sauce and 1 teaspoon cornflour slurry for 10-15 minutes.

Stir Fry
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to a large wok or skillet over high heat. Sauté sliced beef in the wok for 2-3 minutes until browned. Reserve beef from wok.

Add the minced garlic and remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the wok. Stir-fry 30 seconds. Simmer stir-fry sauce and cornflour slurry until thickened.

Return the beef to the wok and stir. Stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes. Serve steamed or cauliflower rice with beef and broccoli stir-fry.
