Preheat oven to 356 F/180 C.
Lay parchment paper or silicone mat on a baking tray.

Combine butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat all ingredients with an electric whisk until frothy.

Scoop dough balls onto the baking tray with a cookie scoop. Leave 2 inches between cookies.

Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until combined.Mix chocolate chip cookies.

Place dough balls on the baking tray with a cookie scoop or spoon. Bake till golden edges, 12-14 minutes. Take out of oven.

Transfer cookies to a cooking rack after 5 minutes on the baking tray. Let them cool completely before storing.
