Simply adding a few ingredients makes these Classic No-Bake Cookies easy to make. These peanut butter, oat, and cocoa powder cookies make a simple dessert!
– 1/2 cup (115 grams) butter (sliced into pieces)– 2 cups (400 grams) granulated sugar– 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk– 1/4 cup (20 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
Ingredient
– 1/2 cup (125 grams) creamy peanut butter– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract– 3 cups (300 grams) quick-cooking oat
Direction
1
Next, heat sliced butter, granulated sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a large saucepan over medium heat. After melting the butter, boil the mixture for one minute.
2
The next important thing is to set a timer for exactly one minute after the mixture starts to boil. This means that the whole top is filled with bubbles.
3
If you boil it for too long, the no-bake cookies will be dry. If you boil it for too short, they won't set right. When you do this is very important!
4
Take it off the heat when the timer goes off and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until it's smooth. Add the quick-cooking oats and mix them in until they are all covered in the mixture.
5
Next, scoop the mixture with a cookie scoop and drop cookies onto the baking sheets. To speed cooling, I flatten each cookie with the back of a spoon or cookie scoop.
6
The cookies will be soft at first but firm up as they cool. Mine take 20–30 minutes to set up, but they're delicious warm!
