Connecticut-based artist, Shawn Faust, is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest chalk mural.
The mural measures 60-by-40-feet and is inspired by the Northern Lights.
Faust has been working on the mural for over a week and expects to complete it by the end of August.
The current record for the largest chalk mural is held by a group in Mexico, measuring 38,000 square feet.
Faust's mural is being created in a parking lot in Bristol, Connecticut.
The mural is open to the public to view and will be on display until it fades away.
Faust hopes his mural will inspire others to pursue their passions and break records of their own.
