Easy Apple Crumble Without Oats Recipe 

Cranberries and no butter make this oat-free vegan apple crisp healthy and easy. Sweet apples and tart cranberries make it the perfect fall dessert. Crumble topping may work best! Enjoy with your favorite vegan ice cream.

FILLING – 6 large tart apple – 1/2 cup sugar – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – 1 cup cranberrie CRUMBLE TOPPING: – 3/4 cup all-purpose flour – 2 tsps ground cinnamon – 6 tbsps Earth Balance margarine – 1/3 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400°F. If using fresh cranberries, wash and remove bruises and mush.

Cook the apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan for 10 minutes to soften.

Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and Earth Balance margarine (or butter) in a bowl. Work the mixture into coarse crumbs with your fingertips. Set aside.

Cranberries should be folded into apple filling. Place apple filling in a deep baking dish or pie plate. Crumble mixture on top.

Bake 30–45 minutes for crunchy topping. Fruit should bubble. If topping browns too much, foil until finished. Bake with foil under the dish to catch spills. Be careful when removing hot, bubbling fruit from the oven.
