No Oats becomes Eggnog No Oats for the holidays. A low-carb overnight oatmeal alternative is Overnight No Oats. I wear a glucose monitor for over two years.
INGREDIENT
– 3 tbsp hemp hearts– 3 tbsp ground flax– 3 tbsp chia seeds or basil seed– 1 scoop goat whey protein or vegan vanilla protein powder– 1/2 tsp cinnamon– 1/4 tsp cardamom– 3/4 cup eggnog (try my easy homemade "Eggnog") or use Malk brand which contains minimal ingredients and is lightly sweetened with maple syrup– 2 tbsp coconut yogurt or add greek yogurt for even more protein!– 1 tbsp pomegranate aril
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine three seeds, goat whey, cinnamon, and cardamom in a jar with a lid. Shake vigorously to combine.
Step 1
After adding eggnog to the mixture, shake once more. It may be necessary to incorporate seeds from the bottom of the jar by means of mixing with a spoon.
Step 2
If preparing in advance, refrigerate the dish overnight and garnish in the morning with pomegranate arils and yogurt.
Step 3
If you intend to consume immediately, let the seeds absorb the eggnog for a few minutes before garnishing and savoring.
