Simone Biles enjoys Paris 2024 after mental health break

LET'S START

What happened to gymnast Simone Biles has been credited by many observers with increasing attention to mental health issues in sports.

She has a newfound appreciation for the sport and is giving it another go in the hopes of qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Biles, now 26, has been back in competition for more than two years after taking time off following the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Biles had posted on Instagram that she felt "the weight of the world" after helping her team qualify for the all-around competition.

She did, however, manage to get her body and mind in rhythm well enough to earn a bronze medal in the balancing beam event.
