DIY Oreo dirt cups contain childhood favourites. Customising this dessert for any holiday is easy. Easy to make and fun to present, kids love dirt custard cups at birthday and Halloween parties.
– 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)– ⅓ cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder (30 grams)– ¼ cup cornstarch (32 grams)– ¼ teaspoon salt– 3 ½ cups whole milk

– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (45 grams)– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract– 1 cup heavy whipping cream (240 ml)– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (15 grams)– 18 Oreos regular or double stuf– 16 to 24 gummy worm

Mix sugar, cocoa powder, cornflour, and salt in a large saucepan. Mix before milk. Keep stirring with a rubber spatula as mixture boils over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute before removing from heat.

After adding butter and vanilla, strain the custard through a mesh sieve into a heatproof bowl. Press plastic wrap directly on the pudding to prevent a film and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Mix heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar separately. Stiffen whip. Fold half the whipped cream into chocolate custard gently. Combine and gently fold remaining whipped cream.

Process Oreo crumbs finely. Use a ziplock bag to crush them without a food processor. No need for perfection! Put 1/3 cup custard in 8 9- to 10-ounce cups.

Top custard with 1 1/2 tablespoons Oreo crumbs. Portion the remaining custard into cups. Finalise with Oreo crumbs. Place gummy worms on chilled chocolate custard cups after 2 hours.
