Hot Mulled Mead Cocktail Recipe

2 cups mead 2 ounces brandy ½ teaspoon whole allspice ½ teaspoon whole cloves 10 cardamom pods, divided 2-inch piece ginger 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg ½ orange 1 teaspoon honey 2 dried orange slices

Fill a large pot with mead and brandy. Add cloves, allspice, and 4 cardamom pods.

Put ginger and cinnamon in. Put fresh nutmeg in the pot. Let the orange juice in.

Remove from heat after 10 minutes of simmering.  Pour liquid through mesh strainer into glasses.

Put honey in it. Keep ingredients simmering for 10 minutes before removing from heat.

You can replace mead with fruity wheat beer. Try one with apple, pear, or berry notes.
