From layered cakes to endless cookies, holiday dessert recipes are unique. It's important to get creative with classics when your oven is overworked from baking and cooking. Although many cheesecake recipes require oven baking, it's not required.

Pulse Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs. Pulse the food processor with melted butter.

Press the crumb mixture into an even layer on the bottom of a springform pan with the back of a measuring cup.

Freeze the crust while making the filling. Beat cream cheese on low speed in a large bowl until creamy and lump-free.

Beat sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract in the bowl until combined. Cover the crust with filling.

Mix chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small bowl. Melt in 30 second increments in microwave.

Pour melted chocolate over the pan's filling and spread evenly. Crush candy canes and sprinkle on ganache.

Refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours. Run a knife between the cheesecake and pan, then cut and serve.
