Melt the butter in a small bowl and let it cool for ten minutes or so in the refrigerator.

Combine the red velvet cake mix, cornstarch, and salt in a mixing dish and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Mix the melted butter and sugar in another basin until smooth. Whisk eggs and vanilla until fully blended.

While the cookies are resting, preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C) for 30 minutes. Using parchment paper, line two cookie sheets.
