Saltine Toffee Recipe

You only need 5 things to make this Saltine Toffee candy, and it's really simple. This is a great, easy treat for the holidays.

SERVINGS: 42 PIECES – 1 sleeve saltine crackers about 42-44 cracker – 1 cup (230 grams) unsalted butter – 1 cup (200 grams) brown sugar – 2 cups (350 grams) semisweet chocolate chip – 1 cup (110 grams) chopped pecan

Start oven at 350°F. Use parchment or silicone baking mats on rimmed baking sheets or nonstick cooking spray-coated aluminum foil. Rows of saltine crackers on baking sheet. Save.

Heat butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan on medium. Fully melt and boil butter. Stop stirring and let boil for 3 minutes when bubbles cover the top.

Remove from heat and carefully pour over baking sheet crackers. Bake the baking sheet at 350°F for 5-8 minutes until the toffee layer bubbles.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and melt for 5 minutes after baking. Sprinkle chopped pecans over toffee after spreading chocolate with an offset spatula or spoon.

Put in the fridge for 30 to 45 minutes to cool down. Cut it up, serve it, and enjoy!
