Vibrant red northern lights ignited the skies

LET'S START

This week, a strong solar storm that interacted with Earth's magnetic field caused a beautiful celestial display of red auroras.

Skywatchers, especially those in areas with clear skies, were treated to this breathtaking light display from Europe to North America.

Given the rarity of seeing red auroras, especially so far south as France and Kansas.

Several observers referred to the display as the "Holy Grail of Northern Lights.

The release of charged particles from the Sun, known as solar winds, causes solar storms.

The magnetosphere of Earth interacts with these winds, and the magnetic field of our planet catches and directs.

These charged particles acquire energy through collisions with oxygen and nitrogen-containing atoms and molecules found in the Earth's atmosphere.

The captivating phenomena known as auroras is the result of this, which produces stunning light displays in a variety of colors.
